Please... make an effort to join us at our next General Meeting on Wednesday the 16th. Take note that it has been changed this month to the Lower Lunchroom of the School.  Badges and Cards are necessary for entrance.  In addition, badges should be worn at all KOFC Sponsored events.  Our State Chaplain Father John Grace, OSA has recommended wearing of our badges in Mass as well.  Be proud of your fraternity and encourage others to follow in our footsteps by joining! Being Involved in Charity enforces Unity and is beneficial for both Mind and Soul. 

Monthly Rosary Vigil for Life - Tomorrow - Friday, April 4th 10-11am. (See Planned Parenthood article and petition at bottom of page)

The Knights of Columbus in line with the Holy See supports Right to Life.  Join your fellow brothers on the 1st Friday of each month for a Rosary Vigil in front of Planned Parenthood in Mission Viejo from 10am-11am.  Please contact brother Don Walz for details or to be put on his Right to Life e-mail list and/or committee.  493-3134 or derw31@cox.net. 

St. Edward the Confessor Pre-School 4th Annual Golf Tournament and Dance Fundraiser, Friday, April 11th

Join the fun as we drop golf balls from a helicopter hovering over the last green following golf.  The golf ball closest to the hole wins!  $10.00 per ball. $10,000 GRAND PRIZE!!!  Call SK Mike Farrell at 443-1900.  (See Attached Flyer) 

Caribbean Spirit Concert - Saturday, April 12th.  see attached flyer

We have a special treat this year!  The Knights are sponsoring a concert in the church.  The festive event is perfect for the whole family.  The music is composed by Fr. Ho Lung and performed by an award winning Jamaican company of singers and dancers.  Come hear uplifting songs of faith that will get you out of your seat.  The repertoire will include Reggae, Calypso and ballads.   

I need your help selling tickets after all of the masses on the weekends of 3/29 & 3/30 and 4/5 & 4/6.  As well as 10 men to assist the night of the concert to sell refreshments, work as ushers and to move the altar and pulpit before and after the event.

Pot Luck afterwards in the Lower Lunchroom of the School.  The Council to provide the desserts along with the salad,rolls,butter and refreshment.Also A- M bring entrees and N - Z bring side dishes.  Drop them off at knight hall before Mass. We will have warmers to keep entrees warm. 

Fiesta!!! May 16-18 -- KOFC BBQ Booth

This is the finest event of the year.  Wear your cowboy hats and aprons and help cook and serve at our famous Western BBQ Booth where we serve mouthwatering ribs or sausage, slow cooked in BBQ Sauce over a chuck wagon grill.  Complete with slaw, beans and Texas Toast, our booth is the highlight of the carnival.  To volunteer contact Brother SK Mike Farrell at 443-1900 or e-mail Mpfarrell5@sbcglobal.net.

Habitat for Humanity SJC Build

Good Samaritan Needed!!

My name is Ellen Loretta and I run Faith In Action Ministry at St. Ed's...We have a gentlemen who is a member of the parish who is in need of some help.  Ronald Rocie..phone number is 493-1545...his address is 26901 Ave. Las Palmas...near Camino Capistrano.  He is 82 and in a wheel chair. He is able to walk a few steps and get in and out of the car on his own. He wants to go to Sunday Mass either the 12:30pm or 5:30pm.  I have taken him the past two Sundays, however, it is difficult for me to lift the chair in and out of the car. So I need to find some "muscle"  My thought is to organize a team of volunteers to each take him one Sunday a month.  Please contact Ellen on her cell at 290-5441 or at home 493-5949 if can help this gentleman in need. 

Serra Club of South Orange County for Vocations

The Knights of Columbus support Vocations. Many of its members also take part in Serra International.  This is a Ministry for the enhancement of Vocations.  We meet once a month on the 3rd Monday for Mass at 530pm followed by dinner, guest speaker and prayer afterwards.  This months guest speaker will be none other than our own associate Pastor and fellow 4th degree brother SK Father Chris Heath.  The meeting raps up around 8pm and meets in Knight Hall for more information; please call brother SK Joe DeRitis at 716-6525.  Joe is our Council’s Vocations Committee Chairman.

Tootsie Roll Drive - Community Partners Card

Attached you will find a copy of our Council's Community Partners Card.  Simply print it out, take it to Albertson's and have them scan and attach it to your Albertson's Preferred Savings Card.  Then, every time you scan your Albertson's card they will donate a percentage of the total order to our Tootsie Roll Drive.  Please take the time.  It's easy and it's free!!

1st Degrees in honor of Pope Benedict XVI
