Dance Fundraiser, Friday, April 11th

helicopter hovering over the last green following golf. The golf ball

Spirit Concert - Saturday, April 12th. see attached flyer
We have a special treat this year! The Knights
are sponsoring a concert in the church. The festive event is perfect
for the whole family. The music is composed by Fr. Ho Lung and
performed by an award winning Jamaican company of singers and dancers.
Come hear uplifting songs of faith that will get you out of your seat.
The repertoire will include Reggae, Calypso and ballads.
I need your help selling tickets after all of the
masses on the weekends of 3/29 & 3/30 and 4/5 & 4/6. As well as 10 men
to assist the night of the concert to sell refreshments, work as ushers and
to move the altar and pulpit before and after the event.

This is the finest event of the year. Wear
your cowboy hats and aprons and help cook and serve at our famous
Western BBQ Booth where we serve mouthwatering ribs or sausage, slow cooked
in BBQ Sauce over a chuck wagon grill. Complete with slaw, beans and
Texas Toast, our booth is the highlight of the carnival. To volunteer

Good Samaritan Needed!!
My name is Ellen Loretta and I run Faith In Action
Ministry at St. Ed's...We have a gentlemen who is a member of the parish who
is in need of some help. Ronald Rocie..phone number is 493-1545...his
address is 26901 Ave. Las Palmas...near Camino Capistrano. He is 82
and in a wheel chair. He is able to walk a few steps and get in and out of
the car on his own. He wants to go to Sunday Mass either the 12:30pm or
5:30pm. I have taken him the past two Sundays, however, it is
difficult for me to lift the chair in and out of the car. So I need to find
some "muscle" My thought is to organize a team of volunteers to
each take him one Sunday a month. Please contact Ellen on her cell at

Serra Club of
South Orange County for Vocations
The Knights of Columbus support Vocations. Many of
its members also take part in Serra International. This is a Ministry
for the enhancement of Vocations. We meet once a month on the 3rd
Monday for Mass at 530pm followed by dinner, guest speaker and prayer
afterwards. This months guest speaker will be none other than our own
associate Pastor and fellow 4th degree brother SK Father Chris Heath.
The meeting raps up around 8pm and meets in Knight Hall for more
information; please call brother SK Joe DeRitis at 716-6525. Joe is
our Council’s Vocations Committee Chairman.

1st Degrees in honor of Pope Benedict XVI
As noted on page 7 of the January Columbia magazine
all First Degree exemplification through December 2008 will honor Pope
Benedict. Also every knight who proposes a new member this year will
receive a commemorative medallion with Pope Benedicts image on it, as well
as every candidate will be listed on a scroll that will be presented to his
Holiness when he arrives in April!! Please let me know if you have a
candidate ASAP. I have forms or they can be picked up in the Church
Mailbox. Please ask your Catholic brothers if they would like to join
